Description
The cases and questions in this book were written specifically to help prepare candidates planning to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination. The questions accompanying each case have been written in the general formats used by The Board. The first seven cases focus only on one of the seven subject areas tested on the CFP® Certification Examination. After each case fact pattern, we include five questions from each topic tested on the CFP® Board's 89 Topics list. For example, the first case covers General Principles of Financial Planning, which includes Topics 1-14 on the CFP® Board's list. The next eight cases are long, integrated cases that draw questions from all of these areas in connection with financial planning for one hypothetical family. Several of the cases are actually cases with questions that appeared on previous exams and are published with permission of the CFP® Board. Answers and rationales are provided for all of our questions so that students can check their knowledge and ability to analyze the information in each case.
