Keir's Ten Test-Taking Tips
- Budget your time so you can answer every question.
- Do not waste time on questions to which you do not know the answer; make your best guess and move on to another question.
- Do not jump to conclusions until you have read the entire question. Read all options to every question before deciding on your answer.
- Read a question carefully to discover the intention of the question so you answer what is asked.
- Pay attention to the form of the question, so you select from the choices in the right way.
- Pay attention to word clues in the question and choices.
- Use the process of elimination to narrow the choices.
- Use your common sense, experience, and knowledge.
- Do not make wholesale changes in your answers. You should change answers only if you have a good reason for doing so.
- Leave no question unanswered, even if you have to guess, and never mark more than one answer to a question.
