Series 24 FAQ's
How many questions are on the exam? 150 questions.How long is the exam? 3 1/2 hours.
How is the exam set up? You should anticipate a “bell-curve” exam. Which means, the test will start out with easier level questions. As you progress through the Series 24 exam, approaching the middle, test questions will become more difficult. Nearing the end of the exam, questions will again become easier.
How much time can I expect to spend on studies? You should plan on spending approximately 60 to 70 hours in study and 20 hours on final exams. Keir Educational Resources strongly recommends you complete the Series 24 study between three weeks but no longer than 3 months.

Where do I take the Series 24 examination? The Series 24 examination is a proctored exam and must be taken at a qualified exam center. To locate the one nearest you, please see www.prometric.com.
How often is the Series 24 exam administered? Each testing center offers the exam on various dates.
Is there an examination fee for the Series 24? Yes, $105.
If I fail, how long do I have to wait before I can re-sit for the Series 24 exam? You must wait 30 days to re-test; however, if you fail more than three times, you MUST wait 6 months before you are eligible again.
Am I allowed to take a calculator into the exam center? No, however, the exam center will provide a calculator upon request.
Will I be allowed to take paper into the exam center? No, however, the exam center will provide scratch paper upon request.
Do I have to be sponsored to take the Series 24 examination? Yes, contact your broker/dealer for details regarding your U-4 form, or contact FINRA for information at www.finra.org or 202-728-8000.
What is the required pass rate for the Series 24 examination? 70%
