Emily Johnson

Emily Johnson is a practicing CFP® in Hilton Head, SC. She used the Keir materials and live review course (Martine Weinhold, instructor) to pass the CFP exam and is excited to be part of the Keir team of instructors. Emily is a member of a three person team working primarily with high net worth families and privately held businesses in the Southeast and Mid Atlantic. She also has a specialization in divorce financial planning – working with individuals pre, during, and post divorce, and holds the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) designation. Emily teaches courses on several aspects of financial and divorce financial planning to the public, as well as to legal and accounting practitioners. Prior to becoming a financial advisor, Emily worked in investment banking as a leveraged finance associate for Wachovia Securities in Charlotte, NC, and as a private banking associate for Credit Suisse First Boston in New York and London.

Emily is a Plan II Honors graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and earned an MBA from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina, with international finance work at Manchester Business School in Manchester, England. When not in the office, Emily enjoys the “island” life – playing tennis, golfing, sailing, and playing on the beach with her daughter, Bella.
