Formulas and Calculations Necessary to Help Pass the CFP® Certification Examination

In this course, Keir will decipher and demystify the formula sheet given on the CFP® Certification Examination. We will interpret the symbols for you, translate them into keystrokes on your HP 12C and HP 10BII calculators and let you know which formulas are most likely to be tested. In addition, we will cover geometric versus arithmetic mean, bond yields, uneven cash flows, weighted returns, inflation adjusted interest rates and the dreaded college funding question.

This is not a beginning course. It is geared for those preparing to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination. A basic knowledge of your calculator and a fundamental understanding of the time value of money are prerequisites. Keir offers an excellent online course for both the HP 12C and the HP 10BII to master the basics.

This course is two hours in length and will be available approximately six weeks prior to each CFP® Certification Examination. You will then have 24/7 access to this course until the Monday after the exam cycle for which you are enrolled.
