Series 27 Recommendations

• Study for approximately 60 to 70 hours prior to the Series 27 exam.
  • Spend approximately 3½ hours on Customer Margin Rules.
  • Spend approximately 4 hours on MSRB Rules.
  • Spend approximately 6 hours on Other Regulations.
  • Spend approximately 6 hours on Uniform Practice.
  • Spend approximately 7 hours on Reporting / Record Keeping.
  • Spend approximately 15½ hours on Customer Funds.
  • Spend approximately 18 hours on Net Capital.
  
  
• Allow yourself enough time to test through final exams prior to sitting for the Series 27 examination.
  
  
• Score a minimum of 76-78% on every quiz and exam before moving on the next section or chapter.
  
  
• Plan to sit for the Series 27 exam within 5 to 8 weeks.
  
  
• Read each section, then test your understanding level with the quiz provided. Review ALL questions and detailed explanations. Once you have mastered the topic you should move on to the following topic.
