Series 7 Advice

FINRA Series 7 Recommendations
  • To obtain your Series 7 license you should plan to spend 220 to 240 hours in study, prior to your test date.

  • Plan to sit for the Series 7 exam within 3-weeks, but no more than 5 months. Helpful Series 7 Study Schedules

  • Score a minimum of 76-78% on all Series 7 quizzes and practice exams before moving to the next topic. FREE Indicator Sheet for Series 7

  • Read each topic of the Series 7, then test your knowledge with the quiz provided. Review ALL questions and detailed explanations. Once you have mastered the Series 7 topic you should move on to the following. Continue this practice through the chapter of the Series 7 training material.

  • If you have a Series 7 CD-Rom: when you reach the end of each chapter, utilize your exams book AND the CD-Rom for a complete overview of all Series 7 topics learned.

  • If you have Smart 7™: when you reach the end of each chapter utilize your exams book and the Smart 7™ for a complete overview of all Series 7 topics learned.

  • Continue this study practice throughout the entire Series 7 textbooks.

  • You should keep track of all scores you receive from the section quizzes, chapter exams and final exams.
